Ale pozwól chłopakowi mieć swoje oceny

Spadek zaliczył Brave New World. Tak już zostanie. Nie wiem co ja kiedyś np. widziałem w takim utworze Dream Mirrors? Powtarzanki, smęcenie, pseudo-klimat. Dopiero od drugiej połowy jakiś konkret. To tworzyło te nowe Iron Maiden. Jakie w pełnej krasie mamy np. na AMOLAD.

Kto wie...może Fearowi dam za jakiś czas oczko wyżej. Naprawdę mi się podoba ten amerykański klimat tego albumu. O dziwo ukochane przeze mnie kiedyś Afraid too Shoot Strangers, teraz to spadło na nim bardzo. Co więcej, uważam, że to właśnie od tego utworu (oraz tytułowego na FotD) zaczęło się smęcenie Harrisa w tych intrach. Na dziś wolę dużo bardziej Be Quick or Be Dead, The Fugitive czy Childhoods End, a może i nawet Chains of Misery. Afraid to oczywiście całkiem dobra kompozycja, ale ziarno zostało tam zasiane. Poza tym utwór lekko przereklamowany.

Lubię np. Dance of Death. Nie jakoś do przesady, ale lubię. Tak jak BNW jest przereklamowane, tak Dance niedoceniany. Te albumy to bardzo podobny poziom uważam, no a opinie o nich są diametralnie inne. Nie ma w zasadzie takiej BARDZO słabej kompozycji. Jest sporo dobrych zagrywek gitarowych no i brak dłużyzn. Płyta taka bardzo lekka w słuchaniu.

Rozumiem, wolisz zdecydowanie ten czysto heavymetalowy IM od "klimatowania" z przerostem ozdobników nad treścią. Ja po latach DoD bardzo doceniłem, dla mnie 8/10.

Można tak to nazwać. Jeśli klimat to powiedzmy z grubsza, bardziej Sign of the Cross czy Still Life niż For the Greater Good of God, Blood Brothers czy When the Wild Wind Blows. Są oczywiście wyjątki czasów reunion. Dance of Death przede wszystkim. Tam to zrobili klimat idealnie pasujący do muzyki. Świetna kompozycja. Powiedzmy jeszcze The Nomad i z pewnymi zastrzeżeniami Isle of Avalon.

"Paschendale" to dla mnie genialny utwór, niestety (znów) album źle zmiksowano.

Ale ta wersja alternatywna Paschendale jest spoko już chyba pod tym względem, ale nie słuchałem od lat.

Paschendale swego czasu był straszliwie przereklamowany. Robiłem tu w 2006 konkurs na najlepszy utwór, to zajął drugie miejsce. Zaraz za Hallowed Be thy Name. No gdzie... Utwór jest dobry, ma momenty, Adrian gra świetne solo, ale dostrzegam pewne mankamenty.
