Jedynymi grupami "ciężkiego rocka" które są w stanie przyciągnąć rzesze fanów na takie BEMOWO, to Metallica i AC/DC. Kocham IM i BS jednak te grupy dedykują swoją muzykę raczej wyłącznie fanom przyciężkawych dźwięków, te dwie wymienione są za to kojarzone nawet nie tylko przez fanów rocka, jako takiego... BS to u nas zespół na hale (jak Judasi) a IM na stadion wielkości Gwardii czy Polonii.

SONI w Polsce ma sens tylko z Meta ewentualnie AC/DC. Zauważcie, nawet w Finlandii czy Szwecji, gdzie headlinerem był SLIPKNOT, frekwencja sięgała 12 - 15,000. Jak na tak znany zespół to DNO...

Oczywiście, o ile w tym roku SONI w Polsce będzie ... To wcale nie jest takie pewne!

Mascot Label Group has announced the release of the eponymous debut album from FLYING COLORS — the spectacular new virtuoso prog/pop/metal rock band formed by drummer Mike Portnoy (ex-DREAM THEATER) and guitarist Steve Morse (DEEP PURPLE). The CD will be made available via Music Theories Recordings in the U.K. on Monday, March 26, followed by a U.S. release on Tuesday, March 27.

FLYING COLORS is Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals), Dave LaRue (bass), Neal Morse (keyboards, vocals), Casey McPherson (lead vocals, guitar), and Steve Morse (lead guitar).

"This album has bits and pieces of what you'd expect from each of us," says Portnoy. ""The sum of all its parts led to brand new, unchartered territory for everyone involved."

The formation of FLYING COLORS began with a simple idea: virtuoso musicians and a pop singer joining together to make new-fashioned music the old-fashioned way. Refreshing, classic, old and new, the recordings are saturated with the many styles, tones and hues of the players who in becoming a band have delivered a unique fusion of vintage craftsmanship and contemporary music.

Steve Hogarth wraz z Richardem Barbierim znanym przede wszystkim z Porcupine Tree ale również z zespołu H-Band, z którym Steve nagrał album Ice Creum Genius, stworzyli projekt NOT THE WEAPON BUT THE HAND.

Album ukaże się 12 lutego 2012 roku, jednak można już go zamwiać. Pierwsze 1000 egzemplarzy zostaną podpisane przez Steve'a i Richarda. Na albumie udzielają się również; Danny Thompson na kontrabasie, Arran Ahmun (John Martyn) oraz Chris Maitland (ex Porcupine Tree) na perkusji i Dave Gregory (XTC) na gitarze, basie.
Album został nagrany w 2011 roku w przerwach między obowiązkami Steve'a w Marillion i Richarda w Porcupine Tree.

Legendary thrash band, OVERKILL have announced their next full length entitled "The Electric Age" due out on Nuclear Blast March 30, 2012.

"The Electric Age" was recorded and mixed at Gain Studios in New Jersey, owned and operated by bassist D.D. Verni. This is the bands followup record to "Ironbound" released in 2010 which received much critical praise. Decibel Magazine went as far to add, "Call this thrash, or whatever: to us, it's just metal. The iconic airbrush artist Wes Benscoter (Slayer, AC/DC, Black Sabbath) is the talent behind the artwork for Phantom Antichrist by longtime champions of German thrash KREATOR.

Phantom Antichrist is KREATOR’s thirteenth studio album and marks the band’s debut for Nuclear Blast, which is scheduled for release on June 1st in Europe and June 5th in North America.
