Killers to album, który najbardziej zyskał u mnie przez te wszystkie lata. Z kolei albumem, który najbardziej stracił jest Brave New World. Kto wie czy nawet Fear of the Dark na dziś nie stawiam wyżej. BNW to oczywiście bardzo solidny album, ale nie mogę słuchać z przyjemnością czegoś co wyprodukował Shirley, przez niego muzyka traci niebywale.

Killers znam od bardzo dawna i nigdy nie przebił jedynki. Jeśli zaś chodzi o porównanie Brave New World z Killers to w zasadzie nie idzie porównać tak diametralnie różne są to albumy. Nie uważam aby pan Shirley źle wyprodukował BNW. Wręcz przeciwnie. Remasterowana wersja brzmi bardzo dobrze. Jak na obecne warunki oczywiście. Produkcja Killers, zarówno oryginalna wersja, jak i remasterowana z 1998 do mnie nie przemawia. Nowej remasterowanej wersji Killers jeszcze nie słuchałem. Myślę, że jedyną wadą BNW jest to, że jak na moje gusta jest ciut za długi i trochę jako całość za mało dynamiczny.

BNW mimo skopanej dynamiki brzmi przynajmniej heavy metalowo. DoD brzmi gorzej, bo jest mniej selektywna, ale to wciąż heavy metal. Kicha brzmieniowa zaczęła się od AMOLAD i trwa do dziś. To wtedy wpadli na genialny pomysł grania na setkę, jak najwięcej spontaniczności i jak najmniej poprawiania.
BNW czy za długa? Dla mnie nie, choć wywalić kilka refrenów z Mercenary czy Out of the Silent Planet by nie zaszkodziło. Natomiast nie rozumiem braku dynamiki, bo chodzi o kop a nie brzmienie jak rozumiem? Kopa BNW ma konkretnego.

Ja bym wyrzucił The Nomad i to w sumie tyle.

Dlaczego akurat Nomada? Przecież to zaraz obok Dream of Mirrors najlepszy utwór z BNW.

Dla mnie to najsłabszy moment albumu, od początku mi nie siedzi, a dodatkowo jego najlepszy element wzięty jest z twórczości innego zespołu.

Jak dla mnie to nawet wywalając ten fragment zerżnięty z Becketta, to Nomad i tak masakruje takie średniaki jak The Mercenary czy Out of the Silent Planet, ale cóż, to tylko moje zdanie.

The Mercenary to faktycznie nic wybitnego, zyskuje w wersji z Rio, ale OOTSP jest świetne.

Out of the Silent Planet i Thin Line to jedne z większych perełek w twórczości zespołu. nie wiem czy są bardziej niedoceniane kawałki... Nomad ma klimat, szkoda, że niekoniecznie jest oryginalnym utworem Harrisa. Mercenary i Fallen Angel mogli dać na b'side singli i byłoby git

Kurna co wszyscy mają do tego Fallen Angel? Toć to mega perełka, taki wykop rzadko zdarza się na płytach Maidenów, na nowych to już w ogóle nie ma. W dodatku jest świetnie zaśpiewany, znakomity refren, melodie a nie melodyjki...czego chcieć więcej?

Mając na myśli dynamikę, chodziło mi oczywiście o kompozycje a nie brzmienie. Żadnego utworu bym nie wyrzucał, co najwyżej niektóre tu i ówdzie skrócił. Może jakieś dodatkowe solo gitarowe gdzieś dołożył. Myślę, że takie 55 minut no maks 60 minut by wystarczyło. Zawsze lubię po BNW zarzucić jedynkę. Dobrze podnosi ciśnienie, bo BNW raczej uspokaja.
