Former VADER/BEHEMOTH bassist Marcin "Novy" Nowak is putting together a new band, tentatively dubbed ROAD'S END, with lead guitarist Chris Cannella (N17, AUTUMN'S END) and drummer Kevan Roy (ex-MASTERY). The group is still looking for another lead guitarist.

Novy is currently available for studio/session work, either individually or as part of a rhythm section (along with the above-mentioned Roy).

Novy has recorded 17 full length CDs and taped five official DVDs, all with worldwide distribution. He was also named one of the best bass players in all of the industry-related magazines.

Novy is an extremely versatile musician who is inspired not only by heavy metal, but also jazz, classical and other "good" music.

MEGADETH founder and frontman Dave Mustaine has announced the return of original bassist David Ellefson (1983-2002) to the iconic multi-platinum group. Ellefson will join Mustaine and MEGADETH band members Shawn Drover (drums) and Chris Broderick (guitar)

Serj Tankian wokalista znanej kapeli SYSTEM OF A DOWN po zapowiadanym CD/DVD, na którym wystąpił razem z orkiestrą zaprezentował krótki fragment swojego dzieła.

Album Serj Tankian – “Elect The Dead” pojawił się w sprzedaży w 2007 roku. Nowy album “Elect The Dead Symphony” nie będzie kolejną próbą zagrania w towarzystwie orkiestry symfonicznej (jak robiło już wiele zespołów), lecz utwory zostaną zaprezentowane w nowych aranżacjach, bez ostrych gitar, bez rockowej perkusji – tylko Serj i orkiestra.

Voiced by Nigel Planer, "Heavy Metal Britannia" traces the emergence of the genre in Britain in the late Sixties and Seventies.

Metal began life in the mid-Sixties underground rock scene — a fledging style spearheaded by the likes of JUDAS PRIEST, BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE and LED ZEPPELIN.

This early metal was dominated by paranoia and darkness, albeit often tongue-in-cheek. The players were male, mostly working-class — a uniquely Seventies British style — spawning their own long-haired, headbanging audience with their own dress codes and world view.

While this generation still defines classic British metal, it was nearly overtaken by British punk in the late Seventies. Then back came a new generation such as IRON MAIDEN, DEF LEPPARD and SAXON, dubbed "The New Wave of British Metal" by the press.

As the Eighties dawned, the best of these two metal generations were ready for the long haul — to make their genre the key force in music it remains today.
