Zaorany, bez odbioru.

Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Vulgar to też Pantera. A czy się inspirowali? To kwestia domniemania. Fragment wywiadu z Chuckiem
"Brotherhood of the Snake is a very strong record, it is probably one of the better ones that came out in Metal in 2016. You had said how Testament has found their sound over the last decade. That said, the band has found a nice mix of classic Thrash Metal and Death Metal elements. This record has it all.
Chuck Billy – I think I have found a comfortable flow of combining everything. Where some records we have done in the past, say Demonic (1997) and Low (1994), those were a different style of writing, more to a Death style. I did try singing on stuff, but I wasn’t feeling it. I think over the years after that record, I really kind of found a way to use them both. On this new album, I think I really found the consistency of singing as well as the death voice, where it is not overdoing it too much and putting it in the right places. I feel I have done that especially on this record. "

Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
No to jeszcze Eric Peterson o Low:
" So we just kept working, and when we were getting ready to record our record label guy just suggested: “Hey, you should get this guy named James Murphy, he’s like Alex only in death metal, a virtuoso guitar player and he was in all these bands.” And of course I had heard of those bands but I hadn’t really listened to them, I wasn’t really a fan of that stuff yet, I was more into the old-school Mercyful Fate stuff. And so he came in and we wrote one song together, “Hail Mary,” and that was pretty cool. He kind of stayed in my house and molded his style to Testament."
"We just wanted it to sound like what it sounds like in the room. I think The Ritual was kind of leaning that way, with Tony Platt – he did Back in Black and a lot of cool stuff. But Low was more so, and it was also the birth of us messing with death metal."
Na pytanie " but you have James Murphy in the band so your version of alternative is bringing in death metal influences. " Eric odpowiada "Yeah".

Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Słuchając tej płyty słyszę death metal miejscami w wokalach natomiast w samej muzyce dużo więcej siłowego i bezpośredniego grania ala Pantera.
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power

Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Re: Pojedynek tytanów: Cowboys from Hell vs Vulgar Display of Power
Raczej bardziej inspirowała go Sepultura z Chaos A.D. (album też niemały, złota płyta w USA) niż Pantera.
